The latest addition to the Rhino family of products saves time, protects loggers and makes a single, smooth cut of a core liner, every single time.
Ask about RhinoCutterThe geotechnical industry is rife with risky, outdated tools and methods for cutting core liners open – tools that belong on the set of a horror movie, not a professional, modern drilling site.
Are loose blades, exposed hooks and unreliable knives causing unnecessary injuries and risking the safety of your staff every single day?
That is why it’s time to find a better, safer way of working.
It utilises completely enclosed twin hook blades, a triple-locking anchor and a tensioned reel and spool to make a single pass across a core liner that perfectly cuts it straight in half.
No power required, no dedicated logging table or facility, just a RhinoCutter mounted onto a RhinoCorebox, and you completely remove the need for dangerous, outdated knives and blades.
Ergonomically designed so that it is safe and comfortable for everyone to use, the efficient precision of the RhinoCutter means you get a perfect cut, every time.
The RhinoCutter has been developed by industry experts at Equipe to solve your safety concerns regarding cutting core liners to expose soil and rock core.
The hook blades used to make cuts are fully enclosed, so your staff are protected at all times.
Unlike unsafe and unreliable box-cutters or Stanley knives, the RhinoCutter is designed for fast and easy use that reduces fatigue and strain.
Smooth, straight results without effort. The RhinoCutter is designed for anyone to use, with no heightened strength or dexterity required.
No need to move or handle heavy samples in and out of boxes. The RhinoCutter splits liners almost exactly in half, so you can expose almost 50% of the core without having to move it at all.
Stability you can trust in any environment. The RhinoCutter anchor system comes in two variations - one to fit the 2 x 1m channel RhinoCorebox and one to fit the 1 x 1.5m channel RhinoCorebox.
Durable, water-resistant, built to last. With in-built storage for spare blades, swapping blunt for sharp only requires a single, small flat-head screwdriver.
Send your staff home safe, with the only tool they will ever need for safely and efficiency cutting liners.
The RhinoCutter can be used with both the 2 x 1m channel RhinoCorebox and the 1 x 1.5m channel RhinoCorebox. The RhinoCutter is not designed to be compatible with wooden coreboxes.
Currently, geobor-s is the default size of RhinoCutter availabe. Research and Development is continuing to produce a cutter for different sized liners. If you are interested in a cutter for a different sized liner, please get in touch.
