He sits on many national and international technical and standards committees.
Tom is a Technical Expert at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI). Mr. Lunne was a division manager for some 16 years, but has all the time pursued his main technical interests which have centered around characterization of offshore soils through sampling, laboratory testing and in situ testing. He has conducted a large number of consulting and R&D projects in this field. He is one of the authors of the well known book: Cone Penetration Testing in Engineering Practice.
