Course Outline.

This one day geotechnical training course will provide essential information on the effective investigation of land which may be affected by contamination including the development of robust risk assessments.

We will outline the legal framework for this type of work, how to effectively plan, the advantages and limitations of typical ground investigation methods and the development of risk assessments for the anticipated contaminants.

This one-day course will look at the requirements of BS ISO 10175 and associated standards, the importance of developing a Conceptual Site Model, the desk study and the design of a phased investigation including sampling and analytical testing strategies.
