The course will look at how soil and rock slopes fail and the analysis and design of slopes to prevent future failures.
Worked examples are provided throughout the course, along with an introduction to the philosophy of EC7 design. The mathematics in the worked examples given throughout the course is deliberately uncomplicated in order to aid learners with a basic understanding of the physics of the problem of slope stability.
